Di fronte al mio polso destro, gonfio e dolorante senza motivo, la farmacista ha pensato ad oscuri atti autolesionistici culminati in una frattura. Io l’ho usato come scusa per far lavorare lo studente al posto mio, col risultato che lui ha mandato in malora tutti gli esperimenti.
4. Spalmato l’anti-infiammatorio sul polso, ho scoperto che contiene peperoncino. Trattamento d’urgenza con litri di collirio per scongiurare che gli occhi, che mi son strofinata senza prima lavare le mani, mi si cavassero per il bruciore. Io mi spalmo l’anti-infiammatorio per lavorare e ci rimetto gli occhi.
5. Di fronte al mio pallore fosforescente, nessuno perde l’occasione di farmi notare che sarà impossibile distinguermi dall’abito il giorno del matrimonio. Abito che, per inciso, non ho ancora comprato perché sono sempre al lavoro. Lavoro, non prendo il sole, resto pallida e non mi compro l’abito.
6. Alla tv svizzera italiana trasmettono tutti i miei telefilm preferiti, ma in seconda serata. Cosi’, se li guardo, la mattina neppure le belve da salotto mi fanno schiodare dal letto. O i telefilm o il lavoro.
7. La mia collega, dopo due settimane di vacanze, ha avuto la decenza di presentarsi al lavoro solo un giorno su cinque. Motivo dell’assenza: stress da troppo (…) lavoro. Chi va in vacanza non riesce a rientrare al lavoro perché il pensiero del lavoro li annienta; chi va al lavoro non puo’ staccare perché di lavoro ce n’è troppo e non ci si puo’ tirare indietro.
