Il 28 Marzo non è solo l'anniversario del conseguimento della mia (inutile) laurea (sono passati già sei anni!).
Non è nemmeno solo il compleanno di mia suocera (auguri!).
Il 28 Marzo è il giorno in cui il fu-moroso ha rifiutato un'offerta di lavoro come rappresentate di Promega in Triveneto. Ha rifiutato in un guizzo di credo sia meglio che finisca il dottorato visto che l'ho iniziato.. sai… lo studio… la formazione…gli impegni presi… il laboratorio… il prof.
A causa di quel rifiuto, ha accettato di partire per un anno a Madison (WI, USA) per finire il dottorato. Per non restare a casa a girarmi i pollici mentre lui esplorava il mondo, io ho mollato il mio stage a Verona presso GlaxoSmithKline e sono venuta a fare un dottorato a Losanna (Svizzera). Quando lui ha finito il dottorato, mi ha raggiunto a Losanna per fare il post-doc in attesa che finissi io. Ho fatto appena in tempo a prendere questo benedetto titolo che lui ha trovato lavoro nella fabbrica di Willy Wonka. Fra poco sarò obbligata a trovarmi un'altra occupazione nei dintorni mentre aspetto che lui si stanchi di farsi mantenere dalla Nesquik 
Il 28 Marzo 2006 per noi è stata una sliding-door. Quel giorno le nostre vite hanno inconsapevolmente preso una strada che ci ha condotti qui. A volte mi domando cosa ne sarebbe stato di noi se il fu-moroso avesse detto sì.
