I miei si sono decisi a fare il grande passo: hanno adottato un gattino. Si aggiunge alla lunga lista di gatti passata per casa: Platini, Lucifero, Nuvola, Leo, Toni, Cipolla, GattoRossoBastardo e tutti gli altri di cui non mi ricordo il nome.
Il nuovo arrivato è un gattino arancione (dire rosso sarebbe esagerato, considerato il colore pallido della sua pelliccia). Musetto attonito. Pancetta da bebé. Coda da ratto (eh, scusate i miei termini di paragone, ma la mia frequentazione assidua con i roditori di laboratorio mi contamina). Simpatico, coccolone, ruffiano.
Appena l’ho visto e saputolo senza nome, ho suggerito alla Pulcetta di chiamarlo GranFigo. Proposta bocciata su due piedi e non senza una buona dose di disgusto.

Io: Bene! Cosa hai scelto?

La mamma gli ha detto che è un volgare; il papà gli ha detto che è un maleducato; la nonna gli ha detto che le brutte parole non si dicono e men che meno le si usano come nome da gatto…
Inutile dire che la Pulcetta ha capito a sue spese cosa significhi vivere in un paese dove l’inglese non si sa nemmeno cosa sia… Chissà: magari si rassegnerà a chiamarlo GranFigo
