Sveglia. Doccia col disinfettante. Raccolgo i capelli in due codine da adolescente. Metto le scarpe da ginnastica. Valigia, berretto e maglia larga per farci stare dentro la panciona. Esco e mi dimentico di salutare Capriccio e Pasticcio. Me ne ricordo solo in macchina, ma ormai è troppo tardi e maritozzo dice che non importa. Penso che, in pratica, ho dimenticato di salutare la mia vecchia vita. Ora c'è tempo solo per la vita nuova, senza ripensamenti.
Accettazione. Campanello. Porta chiusa. Aspetti qui. Monitoraggio. Ennesima ecografia e sì, è sempre podalico: oggi lo tiriamo fuori. L'attesa: ci sono state delle urgenze. Il trasferimento nel blocco operatorio si, signora: la portiamo noi con la barella. La rachicentesi: ora suo marito può entrare. Il telo verde che copre tutta quella parte di corpo che non sento più. Le chiacchere con maritozzo: ci credi? mi stanno aprendo la pancia.. un po' come ho fatto io per tanto tempo con i topetti.. Il bip del ritmo cardiaco, l'ossigenazione, il catere, l'accesso venoso, il bracciale che si gonfia per misurare la pressione. Ecco, ci siamo: da adesso in poi, nulla sarà come prima.
Due colpetti di tosse e un pianto. Maritozzo che segue il pianto nella stanza accanto. Io che resto lì con la mia pancia aperta e un'equipe medica che ci lavora sopra. La testa vuota, la distanza: scusate, ma sapete a che ora è nato?
Maritozzo ritorna con gli occhi lucidi: è bellissimo, è bellissimo. Io provo a guardare e capire. Non vedo e non capisco. Ma, ha forse i tuoi occhi? Ma sta bene? Gli do dei bacini sulla fronte; cerco di annusare il famoso odore di neonato, ma non sento niente. Vanno tutti in neonatologia, mentre io li vedo uscire dalla porta. Mannaggia, non ho neanche chiesto quanto pesa…
Sono in sala "risveglio". Arrivano i miei due ometti. Vedo maritozzo che sa già tenere in mano quel frugoletto e mi dico che per forza gli riesce facilmente: lui ha due mani giganti. Il capretto si attacca al mio seno: non ho le mani grandi, ma ho anche io i miei punti di forza.. Saliamo in camera. Ora sento le gambe e posso anche muoverle. Peccato che questo letto sia microscopico: non riesco nemmeno a distendermi. Ma sono tutte nane in Svizzera? Maritozzo manda sms, rassicura tutti, è felice. Forse non è mai stato così tanto felice come in questo momento. Io butto gli occhi nella culla. Lì dentro, c'è quella creaturina che mi ha abitata per 39 settimane ed è stata sfrattata. Lì, nella sua culletta, lui sembra aver capito come respirare da solo, come mangiare da solo, come muoversi ed approfittare dello spazio. Per fortuna, lui ha già capito come fare il figlio: spero che mi aiuti a capire come fare la mamma.
Andreas è nato il 29 Dicembre 2011 alle 12.58 nella Maternità di Losanna con taglio cesareo programmato. Peso: 3.420 kg; lunghezza: 47 cm; circonferenza cranio: 35 cm. Nella stanza 6025 del sesto piano abbiamo festeggiato il nostro primo capodanno insieme e siamo tornati a casa il 2 gennaio 2012. Niente è più come prima ed è meglio così. Buon primo mese di vita, capretto!
