Il vicecapo si avvicina e.. keira (dopo 4 anni trascorsi nello stesso lab, questo è il meglio che riesce a fare quando mi deve chiamare per nome, ndr.) ho visto che ti sei prenotata al microscopio. Sai, io.. l’allarme anti-incendio… lo stress.. il non sapere… … l’ora… ecco… mi chiedevo, se per piacere non potessi farmi usare il microscopio al posto tuo. Solo 10 minuti… 15, massimo… davvero… grazie.

Il vicecapo si avvicina e… keira, ho visto che ti sei prenotata al microscopio…. io… controllare velocemente… fluorescenza del primo… così poi faccio il secondo… ma poco poco… solo.. così… per caso… se potessi usare gli ultimi dieci minuti della tua prenotazione del microscopio… massimo 15… davvero… grazie.
Giovedì.
Il vicecapo non si avvicina. Però… sul monitor esterno, sulla mia scrivania, troneggia un post-it giallo. Ho visto che venerdì devi usare il microscopio fino alle 6. Non è che finisci prima? Vorrei poterlo usare solo 10/15 minuti al posto tuo. Firmato: Vicecapo.
Comincio a farmi un’idea di cosa possa pensare il nettare quando vede un’ape. O il miele quando vede un orso. O il nord quando vede l’ago di una bussola. Per decenza, però, credo non sia il caso di condividere questi pensieri con voi.

ps. giusto per la cronaca, il microscopio è libero TUTTO il giorno tranne per le due ore che ho prenotato io. Le prenotazioni le ho fatte con un solo giorno di anticipo, lasciando largamente il tempo a chiunque altro di trovare 10-15 minuti liberi prenotabili. La mia conclusione è solo una: per fortuna che è venerdì.
